Bone bruises have become more prevalent over the past several decades. A bone bruise is defined as a traumatic injury to a bone that is less severe than a bone fracture. In the field of Integrative Manual Therapy, there is a wonderful approach to the treatment of bone bruises. The Bone Bruise Technique can be helpful in restoring greater stability and strength to the injured tissue. During this short course, students will learn how to palpate and treat a bone bruise.
Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo, PhD, PT, IMT,C is the founder and developer of Integrative Manual Therapy, a gentle hands-on approach to restoring health and mobility and function to the body. Dr. Weiselfish-Giammatteo contributed a wealth of information to the field of manual therapy and rehabilitation. She taught hundreds of courses nationally and internationally which she developed. Dr. Weiselfish-Giammatteo published several books and hundreds of clinical manuals over the course of her 40+ year career and helped thousands of individuals suffering from pain and health issues. She trained many practitioners around the world in the field of Integrative Manual Therapy. The Teaching Faculty of Manual Therapy Seminars trained and worked alongside Dr. Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo for over 30 years. Her daughter, Ayelet Connell, PhD, PT, IMT,C, the founder of Manual Therapy Seminars, was her prodige along with the Teaching Faculty at Manual Therapy Seminars.
